Lauren Steele

Lauren Steele began her career as a journalist —writing and editing stories for publications like Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, Vice, Outside, and others. She is currently a contributing editor at the local Deseret Magazine. Unsurprisingly, her interest in stories — and how we shape them— naturally segued to film. She’s worked as a freelance writer, producer, and story producer on several WZRDmedia projects; including the YouTube Originals Dear Class of 2020 virtual commencement — created in partnership with the Obama Foundation — and the feature documentary World Debut. Her directing work includes the short documentary Journey to 100 along with the commercial work for ArmsReach.
