Engineering Connections

With a target market of engineers, TE Connectivity wanted to make a short piece that would intrigue their customers in a practical and imaginary sense. We set out to create a stop-motion film that highlights some of the products that use their technology (such as windmills, electric cars, and satellites). The catch? We were to build the shapes of these machines using only their products – electrical connectors, wires, circuit boards, and more.

After storyboarding all of the concepts and figuring out how to seamlessly transition from scene to scene, we began the fun process of building the different machines for each scene. After capturing and ingesting thousands of images, we gave life to the animated robotic objects with impressionistic sound design.
